“During the 13th Balkans Beyond Borders Short Film Festival in Bitola, North Macedonia, SEE in Action hosted a 3-part event. The event began with a panel discussion on the reflection of political identities as a form of counterculture through the art of photography, supported by two speakers: Nicoletta Zarifi (@nicolettazarifi/photographer) and Dimitrios Kataiftsis (anthropologist). Next, a Photo Marathon took place in the city of Bitola, with amateur photographers of all ages capturing the identity of the city and its citizens, along with their perception of counterculture in everyday life. The event concluded with a Photo Exhibition/Contest at the foyer of NI Centre, featuring all the photos taken by participants. Visitors had the chance to vote for their favorite picture, and the winner received a special prize: a gift card from Anhoch!
