We are an NGO whose aim is to connect young people from South-East Europe and the wider European region and create an impact by promoting and addressing issues of public concern. We are determined to take action and implement positive, result-oriented social changes targeting the eradication of inequality, poverty, and marginalization while promoting cooperation, solidarity, and reconciliation in our region

Our mission is to promote cooperation, solidarity and reconciliation among the societies and young people of the South-East Europe region by offering them opportunities to meet, interact and create ties based on mutual understanding and empathy.

Anna bampili

Holding an MA in International Relations and International Political Economy, she has been employed in the field of migration, in academic research, as well as in the private sector. Her experience as a volunteer, since her teenage years, has given her the chanceto meet and work with people from very distant parts of the world. Why not some neighbors too?

Nikos Bakirtzis

Partnership Development Manager

Nikos Bakirtzis is a political scientist with a Bachelor degree in Balkan, Slavic and Oriental Studies with a major on Balkan Studies and a MA in Political Science/ International Relations.  Nikos holds the position of the Partnership Development Manager in SEE in Action. His topics of interest are the issues of radicalization and extremism, nationalism, the democratization process of post-conflict states and the concept of European integration with an overall focus in the Balkans.

Alexandros after his experiences working on advocacy and on research has gained the tools to be engaged on such organizations. After his internships on the Center for Intersectional Justice (CIJ) in Berlin and in the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) and his participation on several conferences and research fieldtrips in Greece and abroad, Alexandros has knowledge on the integration of the WB6 and the democratization of civil societies and currently he is involved on many projects.

She is a graduate student of the Department of Balkan, Slavic and Oriental Studies. She is actively involved in volunteering at both local and European level. Her main focus is on human rights, equality, humanitarian assistance, and peacebuilding. She has participated in various European projects and she strongly believes in youth initiatives and collaboration.

Ioanna Panagiotidou

Being an undergraduate student of the Department of Balkan Slavic and Oriental Studies and originally from two Balkan countries, she wants to take advantage of her many years of experience in interaction and communication with people from other countries. She aims to contribute to the promotion of bilateral relations between the countries from the mobilization of the civil society.

Giorgos Koukos

Strategic Planning Manager

Holder of an MSc in Global Studies, European Commission trainee and UN online volunteer, Giorgos is involved at SEE in Action as strategic planning manager. He is enthusiastic, among others, about topics such as climate change and sustainable development.

Aigli Sakellari

Strategic planning Manager

Aegli Sakellari is an undergraduate student at the faculty of Balkan, Slavic and Oriental Studies at the University of Macedonia. She is also currently an intern at ELIAMEP research Foundation and is interested in issues such as urban development, the cultural aspects of society and civic engagement.

Angeliki Devreli

communication and social media manager

An undergraduate student in Balkan Slavic and Oriental studies. She knows four different languages, is a passionate speaker and knows how to promote ideas and events. Time is very essential to her and multitasking is a way of life.

Strategic planning manager

She is a graduate student of the Department of Balkan, Slavic and Oriental Studies of University of Macedonia, Greece, she speaks three different languages, including Romanian and Russian, and has met people from different countries during her studies. Her role in the organization is inextricably linked to her, as she is communicative and passionate about bringing people together for cooperation and is looking forward to enhancing young students to find strategies to strengthen our bilateral vision.

Strategic planning Manager

An undergraduate student in Balkan, Slavic and Oriental studies. Has a passion for foreign languages and developing new skills. Her main focus concerns the subjects of anthropology, history and culture. Believes communication and collaboration is key to understanding each other.
